Chartered Veterinary & Human Physiotherapist

Holly Bluck

I hold a First Class Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Physiotherapy from Cardiff University and a Postgraduate Diploma degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy from Hartpury University. I am currently undertaking an independent research project looking into the assessment of musculoskeletal conditions in canines in order to earn a Masters Degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy.

I qualified as a human physiotherapist in 2018, graduating with the highest clinical, academic and overall mark from my cohort of 120 students. After qualifying from Cardiff University in 2018, I worked in a variety of settings, including Bristol Royal Infirmary, South Bristol Community Hospital and within the community in North Somerset. After developing an interest in working with older adults with complex needs, I became the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist within a specialist neuropsychiatric hospital & then at a learning disabilities charity near Bristol, providing specialist physiotherapy and hydrotherapy interventions to a wide range of clients. Alongside my Veterinary Physiotherapy work, I continue to work with humans as Clinical Lead Physiotherapist within NHS community services.

I have extensive experience in handling and caring for animals and have competed in Eventing for the past 12 years, competing up to International 2* level and at National level regularly. I continue to compete on a regular basis at British Eventing Novice level, British Showjumping Newcomers level and British Dressage Novice level, which provide me with a strong understanding of the needs of the competition horse and demands of elite level sport throughout all equestrian disciplines. I hold Pony Club qualifications up to and including B Test Standard which allow me to teach riding and horsemanship to Pony Club members and have also developed and maintained strong connections with local vet's practices and Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) Centres.
